Marc Sway goes Disco!

The Story Behind the Remix

Marc Sway and Patric Pleasure are two personalities united by one thing: they make people dance. Groove is their shared language.

Marc Sway is a cosmopolitan artist with roots reaching all the way to Brazil, seamlessly blending soul, pop, and his Swiss heritage.

For the remix of “Colorblind,” Marc’s band re-recorded the song live especially for Patric Pleasure — together, in the studio — capturing palpable energy and pure joy of playing.

Patric Pleasure is the DJ who hears that energy and translates it onto the dance floor. Over the years, the two have collaborated repeatedly and share the same understanding of music: it should move and connect people.

Marc describes Patric’s impact like this:

“I experienced Patric at a private party — the dance floor was packed with people of all ages. The energy and the natural ease with which he connected with everyone was just incredible.”

What Patric noticed when he first heard “Colorblind” he describes this way:

“It wasn’t just the yodel that stayed with me, but also Marc’s very soulful topline. It immediately reminded me of bluesy and funky roots — and that’s exactly where disco comes from. So for me, it was clear to take it in that direction.”

The remix makes a conscious, radical turn:
From yodel to disco, from tradition to movement.
The yodel steps aside, the groove takes over.

Roots become groove — and that’s where the magic of music lies.

The remix will be released on February 20, exactly one year after the release of Marc’s album “Roots,” as a deliberate birthday celebration for an album that has always been one thing above all:
connecting and authentic.

When Marc Sway and Patric Pleasure come together, one thing is certain:
no one can resist the dance floor.
